I started photographing at the age of 18, when I got my first film SLR. During my time at university, I tried different subjects (architecture, industry, sport, landscape, wildlife...) but finally ended up shooting landscape only. Focussing on one single topic helped me dealing with my limited time outside of work. It's the relaxing effect of landscape photography when you give yourself completely to the moment that recharges my batteries.
Berlin is my hometown - I was born there and still live there. While the backyard of Berlin with its numerous lakes is a beautiful place to relax, I am totally addicted to the landscapes of Scandinavia. Thus you will find that most of my photos were taken there.
